Hospitality ministries shall be responsible for creating and a welcoming environment and other Elements of parish life not covered by other Teams. This shall include, but not be limited to, social functions, welcoming programs, Senior ministry programs, Parish newsletter, Parish directory, providing weekday and weekend receptionist support, archives - history of the Parish, Bereavement Ministries, Coffee and donuts Sundays, Knights of Columbus, Parish Picnic, and website/Social media.

Archives/History of Parish

Volunteers: Collect and store artifacts and information relating to the history and development of the Parish community of St. Julian. This team coordinates its efforts with the local archivist.

Commitment: Meet once per week.

Bereavement Ministries

Volunteers: To help with funeral Mass preparation and provide post-funeral reception at the church. Can participate in-person or by helping provide food and drinks for post funeral reception.

Commitment: Variable and can use help at whatever level the volunteer can contribute either helping families plan funeral liturgy or contributing to post-funeral reception preparation and hosting. Call Team leader for additional information.

Coffee & Donuts

Volunteers: Contribute to the building of a strong parish community by serving coffee and donuts in the Parish Hall normally on first and third Sundays following Masses.

Commitment: Set up, serve and/or cleanup. Can use volunteers on whatever frequency they can serve - attempt to rotate based on Number of volunteers for this team. A great way to serve and get to know many parishioners.

Digital Marketing Ministry

Volunteers: Promoting the various ministries and events at the Church by engaging parishioners and the community through a strong online presence. We utilize several social media platforms, such as: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as the website to keep everyone informed of the happenings at St. Julian and to share our Beautiful faith. In addition, we are a resource to the ministries to assist in online marketing initiatives.

Commitment: Volunteers can contribute to our social media presence anywhere and anytime. The ministry will meet to plan a marketing calendar and strategy at least quarterly. Join us to help grow our church, faith, and community through this new vital ministry.

Healing Hopeful Heart

Volunteers: Assist with prayer and sharing your own stories for those struggling with the stress and grief of infertility, miscarriage, and Childlessness.

Commitment: Two six-week sessions a year (volunteers would only need to be reset for one or two nights per session) plus additional prayer events i.e. special intention Rosary. Also being available for people to reach out to talk as needed.

Knights of Columbus

Volunteers: Unites men in their faith and provide for Catholic families in times of need, guided by four principles - charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

Commitment: Seeking good men who wish to serve their parish and community in various ways while participating in a faith-filled mens community. Contact team leader for additional information.

New Member Receptions

Volunteers: Plan and facilitate new members reception events currently held on a quarterly basis. Volunteers assist with food, drinks, and to help welcome new members at the events.
Commitment: Can use assistance as volunteers choose to participate. Contact Team Leader for more information.

Parish Picnic

Volunteers: Participate in planning and facilitating the annual parish picnic in order to build a strong parish community.
Commitment: Day of picnic to assist with various set-up activities, coordinate food/drinks, help with activities and welcome area, parking assistance.

Welcome/Hospitality Team

Volunteers: Welcome new members to the parish community with a kind note or phone call. Help plan and organize two newcomers receptions each year (September and March)
Commitment: Flexible commitments as the volunteer can manage. Attempt to rotate this team as the number of volunteers allow.
